Description:This lovely apartment is on the corner of Blvd St. Germain and Rue de Courty which is just one street long here. This is a lovely neighborhood with fine food stores, cafes and restaurants all close at hand. Around the corner is the Place du Palais Bourbon. It is a short walk down the tree-lined Boulevard St. Germain to the famous designer shops of the 6th arrondissement. Just one block across the river, the Jardin des Tuileries and Place de la Concorde are an easy 10-minute walk.Located in a beautiful Haussmannian building, the apartment is on the 7th floor with elevator and a few steps. It is a 2-story apartment which offers excellent separation for more than one couple. It is a corner apartment and has lots of light from windows set into the attic line. It is a pretty effect. Entry is to a foyer/dining area. Across is the small and pretty kitchen which with grey counters, white walls and 2 windows. It is very well equipped with the latest appliances. To the left, is the bathroom with stall shower, sink and toilet. In the other direction off the entry hall is the living room room. This is a corner room and is semi-circular in shape with 3 windows. Thus it is very bright and light. It has hard wood floors, a pretty area rug, and a sofa and chairs. A comfortable queen-sized murphy bed is hidden in the built-in bookcase on one wall. The bedroom is adjacent. Also semicircular, this is a romantic room with a queen bed, armchair and desk. To get to the second bedroom/bath, a door leads off the main entry. One enters a second foyer with another washer/dryer and storage space. A very pretty antique stairway leads to the top floor. This area was once the chambre de bonne or maid's quarters a standard feature in many elegant Parisian buildings. Now it is a romantic semi-circular room with queen bed, 2 armchairs and a dining table with 2 chairs. There is almost a full circular view of the rooftops of Paris including the Pantheon, Musee d'Orsay, Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Invalides, Cathedral Clothilde,and Montparnasse! There is a second kitchen area here with stove, microwave/oven, washing machine and a small refrigerator. The bathroom has a shower stall, sink and toilet. From the shower you can see the top of the Eiffel Tower! This arrangement makes for a very comfortable apartment with ample separation and excellent privacy for two couples or larger groups. Many embassies and government buildings are located here in ornate historic buildings on charming streets. Right along side these are beautiful apartment buildings where well-to-Parisians live. There are 13 museums here with the Muséee d'Orsay being the most famous. And of course, the Eiffel Tower and its parks are also in this neighborhood.
