Description:Nice is a city where people live and work, thus it is vibrant all times of the year. It has many residential neighborhoods with graceful Art Deco buildings. This lovely apartment is in just one of those beautiful buildings. The building was designed and constructed in 1928. Located on the corner of a tree-lined, narrow boulevard, it has waves of balconies rimmed in decorative, wrought iron railings. Everything about the building is tasteful from the columned entry portico to the ornate antique elevator to the quiet graceful hallways. The location is ideal. It is four short blocks to the famous Negresco hotel and the beach, and about the same distance to a pedestrian-only street with an excellent selection of gourmet food shops, restaurants and stores. This is a wonderful neighborhood where one can definitely manage without a car if desired. The owner, originally from Nice, has furnished the apartment with beautiful family antiques. It is decorated in shades of white and pewter with parquet wood floors, elegant chandeliers and beautiful French linens curtains. The spacious marble-tiled entry leads to a living room with comfortable grey sofa and armchair and antique dining table and chairs. Tucked in the corner is a miniature antique piano used on boats! French doors lead to a balcony with space to sit and enjoy the sun. The open kitchen has polished slate stone counters, stainless steel appliances and Italian cabinetry. Everything is hidden behind cupboards including the washing machine and refrigerator. The bathroom is off the entry way with a bathtub, shower over, sink and toilet. The bedroom has a double bed in an antique polished wood frame with matching dressers, a comfortable armchair and doors to the second balcony. The living room sofa can sleep an extra person if required. You could easily manage here without a car. Within Nice everything is within walking distance. Local train service goes to Monte Carlo in 10 minutes! This is an excellent all year rental. Location Information:Nice, all facilities, train, airport, daily market, beaches.
