World-renowned Cannes is a glittering jewel on a lovely bay. It's famous for its Croisette, the seaside avenue that borders the sandy beach. Cannes is a mélange of old and new: the daily market, narrow streets, pleasure port and the new Palais des Festivals, shops and hotels. It's a very central location to visit the Cote d'Azur with Nice, Menton and Monaco to the east---Antibes and St. Tropez to the west. You could easily manage here without a car, as all facilities are easily accessible on foot. And with the local train you can visit the entire coastal region with ease.

This lovely old townhouse is owned by a local Cannes family who has just renovated it to provide comfortable and charming accommodation in the heart of Cannes. It is one block to the beach and just 3 short blocks to the daily food market. Because the building is on a small street, it is relatively calm for the center of town. All in all, an ideal location. The building has been totally renovated and decorated with great charm and taste. Because these apartments are used during the film festival, they've been designed to offer flexibility in size. Apartments can be a studio, a one bedroom, or even three bedrooms depending on whether the front and back rooms are connected. All except one apartment, use the same locked entrance with turn of the century stairway including stained glass windows with irises and elevator. Adjacent to the building is a new small suite-hotel, and our apartments will have access to special hotel-type services if desired such as daily maid service or delivery of meals for additional fees.

Most apartments have high ceilings, pretty trim, decorative original fireplaces with ornate gold mirror above. The living rooms have convertible sofas for additional sleeping. They all have air conditioning included in the rate. Bedrooms have one large bed that can be separated in two. The kitchens are all well equipped. Specific decriptions will be given based on availability for the dates and size requested.

The location was absolutely fantastic. It was tastefully decorated and was comfortable enough for the 3 of us. Good closet space. The owner was very accommodating. The cleaning staff spoke only French (which I loved) and were very helpful when we had trouble with the shower drain.
