This beautiful house is in a lovely residential area on a hillside facing the sea and St. Tropez across the bay. It has remarkable views from every room. Even the well-equipped kitchen which is directly across from the entry has breathtaking views with a wall-to-wall horizontal window over the counter. Washing dishes here is a treat! The living room/dining room is one large room with high ceilings, white walls and another wall-to-wall horizontal window above the dining table. A display of Provencal santons is illuminated on a shelf above. It's as if the view were a piece of art on display. Glass doors open to a lovely triangular terrace for meals. Even here, the terrace barrier is clear glass so as not to detract from the view. The living room has white walls, lots of comfortable seating, a glass dining table, beautiful light fixtures and an open fireplace. Everything was chosen to complement the view and provide a most comfortable situation.

A hallway off the entry leads to the bedroom wing. The bedrooms are all extremely comfortable with full length mirrors, elegant bathrooms, comfortable chairs, fine linens and all have the same wonderful view. On the landing is a sink and toilet. The entry level has one bedroom with a double bed, sliding glass doors to a small terrace and ensuite stall shower, sink and toilet.

Downstairs are two more bedrooms, both with patios that open to the garden/pool level. One bedroom has a queen bed, tile floors with Berber carpeting, and a walk-in shower, with sink and toilet. The end room has 2 singles to make a king with an elegant bathroom that has Japanese screens closing it. This bathroom has glass windows to the view with a bathtub with jets, sink and toilet. These patios are shaded, and landscaped and open to the lawn that gently slopes.

Off the dining room terrace is a side patio and garden with a built in barbecue. Down wide steps is the free form pool with shaded cabana. By walking around the pool one continues around towards the bedroom wing and there is a Jacuzzi and shaded patio.

The house is walled and gated from the entry road and has a circular driveway with ample parking for several cars. This is a beautiful and comfortable home.

Location Information:

Ste. Maxime is a charming seaside village directly across the bay from St. Tropez. It still has a small village feeling with its daily outdoor markets, narrow streets and low buildings. From here one can bike along the seaside to famous St. Tropez or take the ferry across the calm waters. St. Tropez itself is an exceptional spot with its broad quay filled with open-air cafes, its tiny port with yachts from around the word, its cobble stoned streets and its colorful outdoor market. Even though it has an air of elegance, one can still imagine the simple fishing village it once was before Picasso and Brigitte Bardot brought fame. This is an ideal location to enjoy the Mediterranean, its beaches, and the tiny villages that dot the shore. It is also almost equidistant between Nice and Marseille and so provides a central location for daytrips to both areas.

1.5 km E of Ste. Maxime, most facilities, beache. 15km NE of St. Tropez and famous beaches. 100km W of Nice all facilities, international airport.

The house was nothing less than spectacular. The views were picture postcard perfect, and the layout was an incredible design. The infinity pool overlooking the bay of St. Tropez, the outdoor jacuzzi....what more can I say? Thank you for suggesting this property. I can only regret we did not get over to St. Tropez more, but the house was simply too inviting. With a very nice beach within walking distance, why go anyplace else?

View! Layout! Clean, bright, close to stores, beach restaurants. Great supplies(robes, linens, towels). Great amenties(gas grill, several outdoor eating and lounging areas.)
