Description:This penthouse apartment is in front of the Roman Forum, the city's most important and ancient archaeological site. It occupies the entire 4th and top floor of an 18th century building. Equipped with all modern comforts such as air conditioning, this apartment offers breathtaking views of the roman Forum and Palatine Hill from its two large terraces. Although it is just steps from the Roman Forum, it is on a quiet street. It is very pretty with attic-style ceilings, exposed beams, parquet floors and sliding doors opening to one of Rome's most exclusive views. There is a large living room with leather sofas, matching armchair, fireplace and one terrace overlooking the archaeological site. Across the apartment is a second living/bedroom area with a leather sofa that converts to a very comfortable king-sized bed. Up a few steps is the dining area with its stunning view out the second terrace. The small kitchen is fully equipped to prepare meals, although the area is rich with restaurants. The bathroom has a shower stall, sink and toilet. Despite the slanted attic-style ceilings, most of the living space of the apartment is of normal height, with only a small adjustment required for one person getting out of the king bed. A single sofa bed in the main living room can accommodate one extra person. This neighborhood is known as the Monti district, and is just a few steps away from the Colosseo, the Roman and Imperial Forum. There are many fashionable and trendy shops and museums nearby. Although you can walk everywhere in historic Rome on foot, there are 2 underground stations closeby: Colosseo and Cavour. Entry is by 52 communal steps. Location Information:In the historic center of Roman at the Roman Forum. On a quiet street with a small piazza with grocery, shops and restaurants. One block from the entrance to the Forum and easy walk to the Colosseo and all major streets.Client Comments:The apartment certainly exceeded our expectations. The apartment feels quite spacious and is set up nicely. We had dinner every night at the pleasant table on our balcony which overlooks the Forum. We were sad to leave.-Sandy H., Oakland, CA |
