Ths spacious and attractive villa is located in quiet countryside in a very famous part of Provence. It is 10 minutes from Les Baux and St. Rémy. It is on 4 acres of landscaped grounds with open views of the beautiful Alpilles mountain range. The village of Eygalières is small, charming and has just the right number of shops to respond to most needs. A real delight. Down the road from the village and a short drive through the pine trees leads to the gracious entryway lined with cypress trees. The house, open lawn and view lie beyond. This comfortable family house is an ideal retreat for a large family or group of friends. It is in two parts: the main house and guest house which is linked by a short covered walkway.

The main house has a wonderful open living room/dining room with French doors on three sides that open to the lawn and view. There is comfortable seating, a fireplace, television and a large dining table. The kitchen is off the entry hall and is well equipped with a round table and chairs. A door opens to the patio with loggia. The lawn and the pool hidden behind a hedge, are beyond. To the side of the patio is an open summer dining room and small summer kitchen. Back in the house, just off the kitchen, is a pantry and a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet, useful when coming from the pool. Off the entry hall by the front door is a bedroom with twin beds and French doors to the entry courtyard. It has an ensuite bathroom with stall shower, sink and toilet.

A stairway in the entry hall leads up to two bedrooms. At the end of the landing is the large master bedroom with king bed and balcony. It has an ensuite bathroom with clawfoot bathtub, stall shower, sink and toilet. On the other side of the landing is a room with double bed and ensuite shower, sink and toilet.

The guest house has two additional bedrooms and is accessible out the front door and just a few steps away. Here there are 2 bedrooms: a bedroom with queen bed and ensuite shower, sink and toilet; a bedroom with double bed and a separate bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. All the bedrooms have air conditioning.

The pool is large and can be heated in springtime months for a fee. It is surrounded by a hedge. The lawn is extensive and provides lots of space for adults to enjoy the view or for children to play. The owner can provide a gate for the stairs, high chair and crib.

Eygalières is in the Bouches du Rhône region of Provence close to famous Les Baux de Provence and St. Rémy. It is located in pretty countryside with views of the Alpilles mountain range in the distance. It retains a quiet small-village ambiance yet has a nice selection of food shops, cafes, restaurants and other conveniences. It has a weekly outdoor market and even has its own medieval town on a small hill above. The location is ideal for touring the region as it is between between Arles and Avignon with many charming villages in between. Nearby there are Roman ruins to explore, famous wineries to visit, a golf course, hiking trails and small lanes for biking. One can drive to either Aix or Marseilles in less than an hour.
