Mas Valrugues, built of local stone, is located in a very special setting. It is at the end of a small lane of large country houses, thus is totally private yet is walking distance to famous St. Rémy. Set on a small rise, there is pine forest behind the house making for a lovely verdant setting for breakfasts taken on the patio off the kitchen. And from the pool area there are open views of the countryside including the famous Saint Paul Asylum where Van Gogh was hospitalized. Thus the view is one also captured by a different angle by Van Gogh! Rather special. This house is spacious, light, airy, and pleasantly furnished.

The entrance to the house is from the rear where there is a ground floor terrace--actually the 2nd floor of the house seen from the front side. French doors open on the dining room. To the right is the kitchen, a fully equipped facility with all one would want in appliances. There is a guest toilet and sink. To the left is the open living room with stone fireplace and comfortable sofa and chairs. Off the living room is a small study with desk.

A spiral stairway leads to the downstairs and the bedrooms. The ground floor has the most direct access to the pool at the side of the house. There are four bedrooms: three doubles and one room with two singles. At one end of the hall there are two bathrooms: one with bathtub and sink: one with a shower and sink: and there is one separate toilet.

The grounds are well landscapped and the large swimming pool has lights for night swimming. this is a truly lovely and special setting.
