Description:This lovely village house has been restored to a high standard and is furnished with tasteful period furniture. It is located in Lacoste famous for the Marquis de Sade's castle. Everything about the village is picturesque from its hilltop location to its narrow winding streets and spectacular views. The house is off a tiny courtyard on one of the lower streets. As the owner's husband was an art collector, the property has some lovely pieces or artwork which adds to the appeal of this property. Entry is through an ancient door and up an interior stone stairway to the apartment which is upstairs. The large living room/dining room has a stone floor, exposed stone wall, exposed beams, attractive period furniture, and well-chosen sculptures. The living room opens on a terrace that has a view of the roofs of the homes below and the Luberon range. The bedroom is a few steps down off the living room. A king bed (or can be two single beds together) is recessed between built-in closets with lovely light fixtures above, exposed beams in the ceiling and beautiful artwork on the wall. The bathroom is off the bedroom on this lower level and is all done in white and terra cotta tile with a bathtub, separate stall shower, sink and toilet. The kitchen is on the other side of the entry stairway and has been totally renovated. A fold-out bed can be provided and placed in the entry room (or elsewhere) or a 3rd person or child. A door in the living room leads up a few steps to the pool which is adjacent to the owner's house. The pool is available in season daily 1-8pm. Clients have full access to the pool, when the owner is not in residence.
