Description:

This is an extremely pretty converted farmhouse located on the outskirts of the small medieval village of Caromb. On a hectare of land with olive trees and a cherry orchard, it's a beautiful country setting even though it is just a short walk into the village. The house is set well back from the road that enters the village. A small orchard blocks the house from the road. The pool is fully fenced and has a pool house with toilet and sink. Immediately in front of the house is a large tree shading a traditional gravel patio. There is also a patio on the side of the house where one can enjoy views of Mt. Ventoux in the distance. This is a delightful house for enjoying meals outdoors.

The house has been tastefully decorated with soft colors, attractive fabrics and lovely antiques. The ground floor has a modern, built-in kitchen with eat-in dining and windows looking out to open countryside. The dining room and living room flow together with a beautiful Provencal fireplace in between that opens to both rooms. lovely touch! The living room has abundant comfortable seating and has French doors opening to the patio in front and a large window opening to the back and its view of Mont Ventoux. A pretty antique stairway leads upstairs to the bedrooms. There is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom each with an ensuite shower, sink and toilet. The master bedroom has a king bed and ensuite full bath with bathtub, wall shower, sink and toilet. On the top or 3rd floor there is fourth bedroom which is available on request. It has a double bed and ensuite shower, sink and toilet. Please inquire for availability.

The owners have a separate and private apartment on the third or top floor facing the back which is totally insulated from the main house and has its own entrance around the back of the house. This is occasionally occupied in spring and Oct. when they are in France. The rentors' privacy is always respected. Inquire for specific dates, if you desire.

0.5km Caromb, most facilities. 13km NE of Carpentras, all facilities. 10km SE of Vaison-la-Romaine, all facilities. This is a wonderful location to enjoy the Vaucluse as it is an easy drive to Roman ruins at Vaison and its terrific summer music festival as well as to the market at Carpentras and one of the oldest synagogues in Europe.
