Description:

The Rue de Grenelle is a narrow street in the stylish 6th and 7th district of Paris. One side of it is the 6th; one side of it is the 7th! The famous Café Flore and Café des Deux Magots, the historic meeting places of the literati, are just a block away. Famous designer boutiques abound. Tucked in here, is this luxury apartment building with two elevators, two gardiens and a large garden in the back.

This apartment, recently renovated by its French owners, is a peaceful haven which on sunny days is filled with light through its south-facing terrace. The special beauty is its long living/dining room with terraces facing the garden. The apartment has been decorated in great taste in a simple elegant style with contemporary furniture and select antiques. It is quite beautiful. The living room has a beige sofa with matching armchair, a leather armchair and an orange Knoll designer chair for accent. There are elegant light fixtures on the white walls. Pale wood floors and original art complete the scene.

The circular dining table with marble top and four petal chairs are in front of the glass windows that lead to the extensive balcony. The terrace has space for another dining table and four chairs and even has an awning for sunny days. Meals can often be taken outside even in April!

The open kitchen is just around the corner and is all new with built-in cabinets, and high-end appliances.

The master bedroom has a queen bed and its own terrace also overlooking the quiet gardens. Its ensuite bathroom is rather special. There is a long bathtub whose wall into the bedroom is glass. Thus nighttime baths offer a view (past the bedroom) of the sky and the Montparnasse tower! There is a large rectangular sink, a stall shower and toilet. The second bedroom is on the other side of the apartment past the kitchen. It has two single beds which can be made as one. Its ensuite bathroom has 2 sinks on round columns and a large walk-in shower. It has a separate toilet and sink. One of the two single beds has a hide-a-bed below, ideal for use with 3 children. (on request)

The apartment has air conditioning appreciated on those very sunny days. There is possilbity of car park in the garage for an extra fee. Because this apartment is used by the owners themselves when they are in Paris and has just been renovated with care, the owners ask clients be respectful of their furniture. Higher security deposit requested.

Location Information:

Cross Street: Rue des Saints Pères. Métro St. Germain.

The arrondissement here is a wonderful location with elegant shops, broad boulevards, famous cafes, and lovely parks. From Armani to Sonia Rykiel to Chanel, the boutiques abound, whether for buying or browsing. This is also an area known for the artistic and literary crowd. The Cafés de Flore and des Deux Magots were famous hangouts for the surrealist crowd including Sartre and Hemingway. They're still the place to sit and watch stylish Parisians pass by. A short walk to either the Seine or the Jardin des Luxembourg offers a contrasting pastoral setting. And, there's an excellent selection of food shops around as well.
