Location Information:Metro St. Germain. The 6th arrondissement is a wonderful location with elegant shops, broad boulevards, famous cafes, and lovely parks. From Armani to Sonia Rykiel to Chanel, the boutiques abound, whether for buying or browsing. This is also an area known for the artistic and literary crowd. The Cafés de Flore and des Deux Magots were famous hangouts for the surrealist crowd including Sartre and Hemingway. They're still the place to sit and watch stylish Parisians pass by. A short walk to either the Seine or the Jardin des Luxembourg offers a contrasting pastoral setting. And, there's an excellent selection of food shops around as well.
