The Place des Vosges in the Marais is considered the most "perfect" garden in Paris, having a balanced symmetry: 4 lovely buildings with arcades lining the sides of a charming park. Walk in any direction and you find the vibrant spirit of the Marais. Restaurants and cafes, food shops, designer stores, museums and even gardens all around. This is a wonderful location. We are fortunate to represent this newly renovated apartment whose entry is through one of the arcades and whose windows enjoy the view of the Place.

The apartment is located off a quiet courtyard in a traditional 17th century building. It is on the 4th floor with elevator. There is a large living room/dining room with windows looking down on the garden. The apartment is quite bright with pale wood floors, light walls, exposed beams and a traditional fireplace with gilt mirror above --- a classic style brightened for modern tastes. The dining room table seats 8 and there is a Napolean-style couch and armchairs. The kitchen opens directly to the dining room separated by a bar. There are 2 bedrooms, one on either side of the main room. Both have king beds and enjoy the same great view. One room has an ensuite bathtub, sink and toilet. The other has an ensuite shower, sink and separate toilet. The apartment has airconditioning. The sofa offers sleeps for an extra guests and there 2 cots available as well.

In the Marais, a vibrant, diverse quartier. The oldest quartier in Paris, the Marais is known for its narrow windy streets, its abundance of greenry, its museums and its eclectic community. In addition to the many designer stores that are located here, this is also a neighborhood for families who enjoy the parks. On the other end of the Marais are the kosher shops for religious Jews and some local hangouts for the gay community. The Marais is considered one of the premier neighborhoods in Paris.
