Description:This prettily decorated apartment is in the heart of the historic Marais district, the oldest district in Paris. The Marais has become very popular with a diverse population. The area is alive with new designer shops, clubs, restaurants, and museums. This apartment is in a 17th century hôtel particulier (single dwelling home). It is a 5 minute walk from the Centre Pompidou, the Louvre, the Picasso Museum and the Place des Vosges. Just two blocks away you have a wonderful selection of fish and food markets. The apartment is newly renovated by the artist owner and is bright and very comfortable with fine antiques and fabrics. The pretty living room/dining room is decorated in rich shades of blue-grey with a fireplace (decorative only). The decor finds its inspiration in the French baroque style, and in fact, it has been photographed in a French country issue of a designer magazine! The sofa opens to a bed for one. The blue-grey bedroom has a wrought iron queen bed with canopy. There are hardwood floors with fine rugs. The entry hall leads to a small, but good kitchen and a separate bathroom with elegant walk-in shower, toilet and sink. Location Information:Métro Hôtel de Ville. Cross street Rue des Archives.Client Comments:"Great apartment. Great value. Lovely style of decor. Location very central and lively. We walked almost everywhere. Bakeries around.
