Description:This beautifully restored farmhouse is located just south of the Dordogne at the charming village of Duras, part of the bucolic bastide country. Duras is truly unique in its location - it borders three of France's most important gastronomy and wine regions. La Bournaude is on 5 acres of a park-like setting with walnut orchards, forests, hundreds of fruit tress, flowering trees, and roses. The garden is vast, peaceful, and abundant and rich in floral smells. We have planted wisteria grape vines, roses, and massifs to compliment the already tree-filled garden. Guests can harvest walnuts, cherries, applies, plums, and peaches....hunt for cepes while meandering through pine and oak forests...sit and overlook an endless blue sky, vines, plum orchards, and sunflowers. La Bournade is a quintessential French country farmhouse which is the perfect place for large families or multiple families traveling together.THE VILLA: Great Room with Living Room and Dining Room: This is a large, open room centered around a recently installed antique chateau fireplace.
