Our Provencal Houses and Their Stories 12/05/2013

It's a pleasure to work with interesting owners. My last blog addressed the very interesting clients that book with us. Now, I want to talk about some of our very interesting houses.

I think having a compelling history, makes a client's stay at a property especially interesting.

PR360 This is the end accommdation is a classic farmhouse in the pretty countryside below Les Baux. The house was originally a farm with sheep herded by the current owner's grandparents. Now the owners keep a few animals on the grounds just for fun.

PR311 This is a restored mill on a hilltop overlooking Paradou and the countryside beyond. The current owner visited this mill as a teenager and has a picture of herself sitting outside the vacant structure. As an adult, she purchased property that included that very mill. And the picture from 30 years ago is on the wall of the mill!

PR060 This is one of several houses in a small hamlet in the Luberon Valley. The house we rent is the house the current owner was born in! Over the years, when time was hard, the house was sold, but as an adult the owner has bought back her birthhouse and in fact now owns the entire hamlet. She also manages the orchard beyond.

Just a few of the charming stories about our houses in Provence.
